Calling all basketball players and fans!

Welcome to the fresh new online presence of mybasketball.co.za. We’re excited to be bringing you basketball news, results and other interesting information for the basketball community. We’re always looking for ways to improve and bring you even more information, so please check back regularly and join in the fun.

For starters, please have a look at this page with more info about us

To easily keep up to date with new posts, please use the RSS or e-mail subscription at the top of the bar on the right. If you don’t know what RSS is then just read this, or if you prefer, use the e-mail subscription link and enter your e-mail address when asked to do so. Both of these will keep you up to date with all new information posted here on MyBasketball [please note we will not use your e-mail address for any other purposes or distribute it to other parties].

Other things we’ve included here are some resources [see left sidebar] which should help coaches and teams looking for information to help in their training. You’ll also see Top Posts and Recent Comments on the right hand side which we hope will help you find the most interesting articles and also join in the discussion on hot topics.

We are starting off with two dedicated pages – one for Schools basketball and one for Club or League basketball. Hopefully over time these will include info for all teams and competitions taking place in SA, so if you can help us find out more don’t be shy to say so.

So please have a look around and give us your feedback or simply join in the discussions and leave comments on the articles. This is your community.

Welcome to MyBasketball.

It’s not just a game!

Darren spent many years playing basketball in Pretoria, searching out every possible way to gain extra inches on his vertical in order to disprove the theory that white men can't jump. After being distracted by the corporate world for several years, Darren returned to the game he loves to contribute in some way to its' future. Darren firmly believes we will see basketball in its rightful place as one of the top sports in South Africa, and that one of the keys to doing so is seeing information about the game made easily accessible to everyone. This is why he is now part of the MyBasketball team.
