South African basketball photos

April 25, 2008 in News

You will have seen the photo stream on the left side of the page, showing some stunning pictures of outdoor basketball. These pictures are sourced from a site called Flickr – for those who don’t know it, Flickr is a site that allows anyone to create an account and upload their photos for others to see. [You can read more about it here]. It also allows you to create specific groups and then different people can all post their own photos to that group.

Since this is a South African basketball site, we would love to create a resource for quality photos of South African basketball and also include them here on this site. Although we will have some photos to contribute, we would like to know if any of you would want to upload and contribute photos.

What do you think? Would you want to contribute photos? Would you want to see them?

Please let us know your thoughts by commenting here. If there are enough people who want to see it, we would like to make it happen.

Darren spent many years playing basketball in Pretoria, searching out every possible way to gain extra inches on his vertical in order to disprove the theory that white men can't jump. After being distracted by the corporate world for several years, Darren returned to the game he loves to contribute in some way to its' future. Darren firmly believes we will see basketball in its rightful place as one of the top sports in South Africa, and that one of the keys to doing so is seeing information about the game made easily accessible to everyone. This is why he is now part of the MyBasketball team.
