Wits University versus University of Johannesburg

Thanks God the electricity came back 30 minutes before the jumb ball.

Both men and women basketball teams from Wits University and University of Johannesburg (UJ) played their second games of the SASSU Gauteng Basketball qualifiers last night at Wits. The SASSU Institutional Championship is scheduled to take place at the University of Cape Town, 30 June – 4 July 2008.

The women game was one way traffic, honestly I cannot say much about it. On the other hand the, wits men tried to keep up but I guess if it is not your day, that’s it! In the end, UJ ladies won the game 61-19, while their Mens’ team won 60-48.

The final games are taking place on Sunday the 27^th April both at Tukkies and Wits.
