  1. arnold says:

i see all orther proninces have more than one female team taking part, why is KZN the only one being outcasted and is only allowed to bring one team

  2. hloni says:

hey man, where is the other KZN females team?

  3. Baller says:

its good to see that SASSU has expanded teams from other provinces. atleast the standard of bball at the institutions will start picking up as more institutions will be exposed to competition.

is free state and mpumalanga not taking part in this year’s SASSU tournament? or they were omitted by mistake.

please, people in the Northern Cape tell your premier to build a higher learning institution. we need you taking part in SASSU.

  4. sbusiso D.U.T Coach says:

DUT FEMALES LOST BY FOUR POINTS TO UKZN FEMALES.THEY WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SASSU’S BUT ONLY ONE TEAM CAN QUALIFY.BUT GAUTENG AND WESTERN CAPE HAVE MORE TEAMS THERE.PLUS THERE ARE 12 MALE TEAMS AND ONLY 11 FOR females. How can this be.And can we fill the one spot cause the gals are ready

  5. Baller says:

Coach (Sbusiso), surely your team knew all along that there is one spot available for KZN. shouldn’t you have been ready and won your game rather than rely on charity from SASSU.

on a serious note, i believe that a number of teams in a province determines the number of spots available for that province. if they invite teams cos they lost by 4 points, then there is going to be a serious problem as other teams and provinces will want the same benefit.

all said and done, i hope your team gets invited to fill the 12th spot as i also doubt if there is a womans team in free state. atleast they will have 12 to balance the numbers.

  6. LERATO(JHB) says:

GUD POINT BALLER HOPE THE COACH TAKES IT.BUT THE POINT IS EQUITY. ONE TEAM FOR ALL PROVINCES. SO WHAT WE ARE SAYING IS THAT GAUTENG AND WESTERN CAPES SECOND PLACED ARE BETTER THEN THAT OF KZN.LETS ALL STAND ON EQUEL GROUNDS.SEE SASSU ARE THE ONLY GOOD CHAMPIONSHIPS WE GOT,SO EVERY COACH WANTS TO BE THERE.SO THE COACH HAD A POINT TOO GIVEN THE GROUND HE IS IN.

  7. Baller says:

but then Lerato you have to look at competition within the provinces. the 1st point would be, how many ladies teams compared to gauteng and western cape are in KZN? 2nd point, if you invite only 1 team per province, you’ll have roughly 7 teams taking part cos mpumalanga and Northen cape don’t normally participate. then will that be worth the costs involved for instituttions?

what i would rather suggest in this case of the KZN team is that maybe SASSU need to look at the best runner-up amongst the qualifiers outside gauteng and invite the team as the 12th team.

  8. wendy(kimberly) says:

TO MANY POLITIC.SEE ALL THE POOR COACH COACH WANTS IS TO PLAY.HE IS DRIVEN BY PASSION. I DONT THINK S.A BASKET BALL HAS REACHED A STANDARD WHERE WE CAN DISCRIMINATE AGAINST THE NOT SO GOOD TEAMS.

  9. wendy(kimberly) says:

Baller back to the numbers.western cape had 4 teams for qulifiers.(uwc, uct, cput & u.st) uct being a host. then g.p had 4 (uj,wits, tuks, tut)dont know about vaal.kzn had 4 too(man tech, ukzn, dut, and unizulu). so your 1st point is invalid.the 2nd point too will be invalid talking from leratos point of equality.so it gets interesting.we tired of politicians.Lets talk the truth its not fair.As for Vaal girls i dont knw.sibusiso, lerato & arnold you got a point.Baller think about it.

  10. sonny (dut ) says:

well guys arnold, sibusiso & lerato you really made a good point here but the s.a basketball it all but politics but we nee to strong on this point to take to the sassu AGM meeting that we take place i think on june 29

politics and sport guys you will wont see you sport going forward

like for the all-star team how many players are hopping to make the team? to show during the tournament that they can really play .

but 88% of the team is selected allready and knowing that how many players form KZN are in that team? how many from western cape are in that team? looking at G.province we know that we will find more 7 players form Gp in that team why? politics.

thank you alot guys see you all at the AGM meeting

  11. Setlogelo says:

    Hi guys

This is a nice website. Quitin referred me today. He is in town as a brand ambassador for tracker.

The Free State institutions are not taking place this year. CUT is not allowed since they participate in the Metro League. The UFS was not active in the last 6 months so the institution would not give out money.
