South Africa's basketball community

CBA – Spring Showcase

By on October 15, 2008 in News

The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) is an independent association and is not affiliated with any club or province and has been hosting a Spring Tournament for the Asian community. The aim was to invite 12 “self-sponsored” basketball teams- 6 men’s teams and 6 ladies teams- to a highly competitive and entertaining basketball event.

It is anticipated that Basketball in the Asian community will benefit from the competitive spirit and profit from being associated with such a project (reputational and social). The tournament has been running from the 14th of September and ends on the 19th of October 2008.

The league concludes this coming weekend so go out there and support the event. It looks like the final could be rematch between Raptors and Scorpions in the ladies section. The semi finals take place at the Sacred Heart College in Johannesburg on Saturday 18 October 2008 with the finals on Sunday 19 October 2008.
