In 2007 after getting frustrated at the lack of information about the game he loved in South Africa, Victor decided to start Mybasketball and he hasn't looked back. For close to 15 years, Victor has experienced the game as a player, a coach, a spectator and now from a media perspective. The whole purpose of Mybasketball is to keep the fans informed about the game and anything related to it; whether it is here in SA, Africa or Overseas. Victor has made some great friends along the way and rekindled some amazing friendships through the game.. Some of those friends have joined him on this crusade to make basketball better for everyone, and he looks forward to a South Africa where basketball gets the credit it deserves and the focus is on youth development and improving the coaches.

Hi Gauteng North Ballers
It is apparent that the situation in Basketball within this region remains the same even after numerous attempts to try and remedy the situation.
There is definitely a need for change. Change in leadership, change in personalities and most certainly change within the local structures. To ensure that there is positive change we must learn from the past experiences so that similar mistakes are not repeated.
This region has potential leaders who can elevate the game to another level. Leaders who have sacrifised a lot for the promotion of basketball and are still willing to continue doing so.
Ordinary people within the basketball structures need to know their fate. Their destiny lies within those who are willing to take-over the baton and begin to iniate change. Open-ended communication level, proper guidance towards the desired ambitions, accountability, transparency as well as an abundance of activities should be the order of the day.
Stand up and be counted amongst those who want to see change. You are capable of effecting that change. BSA and provincial structures can only prosper if supported by strong and effective regions. Ke nako. Now is the time.
