Quotes from the organizers

“One of our goals with the Township Basketball League and Life Skills program is to inspire Khayelitsha youth into believing in themselves, their abilities and the very real possibility of achieving their dreams without limits” says Dumisani Wambi, Chairman of the Kahuthando Board and local Khayelitsha resident.

“We want the youth to have opportunity and resources to develop both themselves and their sporting talent. The lack of recreational options for youth in Khayelitsha can lead to boredom and involvement in negative activities such as crime and substance abuse, we as a community should be looking for positive alternatives.”
