eish Kim, that is not being neighbourly. looking at the results, one ask himself why do we then falter from the under 18 level to the seniors. that shows we have talent and just need to nature it the right way.

I wouldnt want to be on the receiving end of such a score. What do you say to your players at halftime or timeouts……I feel for swaziland but I hope mzansi doesnt relax

  4. Neo says:

Now can BSA make a plan for this group of players. this is great for SA basketball and this will reflect what the provinces have been doing with their junior programs. I would hate to see these boys and girls end up like the previous junior national teams has beens before they get to 21.

Criar um grande futuro pela habilita a juventude.

  5. baller says:

if i was the coach, i will surely keep quite. silence might make the players recover and score some baskets. i ask myself how does the stats sheet look like. looking at the Moz loss, i am interested in seeing the stats sheet and the video and also the Angola stats. those are the powerhouses in the region and our under 16 are making their mark.

just wait for two years with the under 18 and we will be losing by 50 or more to the same players we losing to by 2 and 1. hopefully the coaches that are there will come and share the insight with us.

I laugh when you keep referring to the past blunders of the previous administration keep being put on the current administartion.I agree with Neo that a plan must be made to ensure that we start having a plan in CONTINUOSLY nature these players.

that was not my intention but rather to prove that we have talent that needs naturing in the right direction. if we do that,we will be among the best in africa in the next 5 or so years. naturing these under 16 group will help us a lot in achieving that.

on the other side, its not only about the mother body but our provincial and district structures including coaches.

I think monieur Baller is onto something. All i know is that someone needs to make a plan dor these players. i know that two players in the team from KZN have a number of personal trainers ranging from current SA and KZN players to the best coaches in the province …FOR FREE…and watch for Bob Sithole(Sakhile Sithole his brother was MVP of engen u/18 IPT in 2005,2006 and 2007. what’s remarkable is that he isnt an age cheat,he currently plays high school ball in the states and is about to graduate)this kid scored 57 points in his first high school game

you just highlighted a good point there. players having personal trainers and good coaches around helping them for free. that to me is what is lacking in bball currently. during the 90’s players will spend a whole lot of time on the court and coaches will be readily available to help. if that mentality/system comes back then we will see a lot more Sakhile’s coming up through the ranks.

still on that, i believe KZN has the best junior boys in the country. i don’t know how they get that right but we sure can learn from that.

HALALA to BSA, the coaches and the players, I am proud to be a Mzansi bball fan. Homework for BSA: PLANNED CONTINUITY!

  11. Ntokozo Khumalo says:

I totaly agree with Craig on the fact that for the players to improve their game , they need extra help from personal coaches and trainers. Team SA had a great show but i still want to congratulate my Zim sisters for puttin all their effort in the U16 tourney.
