Get ready for BWB with Dwight Howard
There’s some exciting news for those looking forward to Basketball Without Borders in South Africa later this year:
Basketball without Borders Africa will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa from Sept. 2 to 6 starring Boozer, Bosh, Howard and Slam Dunk champion New York Knicks’ Nate Robinson.
If you don’t believe us, you can read it right here on Dwight Howard’s blog.
Considering Mr Howard’s All-Star status and his trip to the NBA Finals this year (we’re still to see if he can defeat Kobe Inc.), this should provide an amazing learning opportunity for post players who get the chance to attend.
For the rest of us, we will have to hope that we spot some of these guys on the streets touring our beautiful country, or try meet them at the airport!
I guess it will be a scramble to try and attend the event this year :)) both as a player and as fan. ciao,V

how are your connections this year for BWB..can you please also negotiate for me at a fee..
on a serious note thou, i hope that these year BSA get to select as many coaches to attend as the previous years. i have been there to watch the all star games a couple of times and there are just not too many local coaches. for me all the provinces should have a coaching representative. even if it means two per province. just my thought.
will there be BWB for women this year??

Pls dont make fun of me man(lol)…I begun early for this years BWB.I will however START lobbying as we speak.

thanks for the update. that is great. now we should start preparing.
I just hope that BSA sends different faces to the bwb, so that other kids cn experience being at a camp. Then again i here that this might be the last bwb for south africa. What must be done in order for us to secure bwb in SA.
I’snt there something better and more important for us to know about than this circus.
Honestly, we all know that BSA will handle this like a play toy and that there will be other private people pushing to get a slice of the clowning. I mean really, what has BWB done for SA bball?
