It’s that time of the year when we as Wits Basketball bow down and remember the great spirit and enthusiasm that lived within those that has passed on. He is described as a stalwart of Wits Basketball during his time and is always described as a great player. His contribution to Basketball and
Wits Basketball was immense and is greatly remembered. Wits Basketball is hosting this tournament in remembrance of Ashraf Lodewyk’s contribution to the club and Wits sport.
I am confident that this tournament will once again fulfill such an important purpose in the challenge facing us in a changing society. We as the Wits basketball club are kindly inviting your team to the tournament both male and female teams. To participate in this tournament each team is required to pay R450 registration fee which is a prerequisite for team participation. No pay no play. We would really appreciate you joining us however if you are not interested please inform us promptly and if there are any queries please contact Peter or James.
We have sent tournament rules to you so that teams are informed in time of all that is required of them and please remember that a each team will need to submit a team list of up to 15 players before their first game and only players on this list will be eligible to play for the team. No additions may be made during the tournament as all teams that play players not on the list will get no points for that particular game. If this happens more than once team will be disqualified from tournament.
