Back to basics – basketball officiating

By on March 25, 2010 in Resources

SACSA published some good notes on basketball officiating quite a while ago – worth a read for anyone trying to get a better understanding of the role of the official/referee.

It was put together a number of years ago, so please note we have not compared it to the current rules for any major changes. However, we think its still useful as the basics remain the same. Although it’s been quite a while since they put it together, our thanks to SACSA for these useful notes.

There are also some practical questions and answers starting on page 14.

[and for anyone interested, it has a short write-up on the rise and fall of the PBL, see page 22]
