The Lakers and Celtics are making this an NBA Finals to be remembered, with it currently tied up at two games each.

But the other story rivalling this at the moment is the upcoming NBA free agent sweepstakes, starting 1 July 2010, when an incredible group of free agents including LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Amare Stoudemire will become available to other teams.

The picture above (thanks SLAMOnline) was just too good not to share here – absolutely brilliant as it depicts LeBron in some of his possible new homes – New York, Chicago, Miami or New Jersey. You can read SLAM’s article about the LeBron lottery – “Good Morning NY!” – for a fascinating breakdown between the two different considerations for the king – LeBasketball and LeBusiness. Definitely worth a read.

And for fans of the NBA, we have all the fun of a dream Final, and then still this free agent business playing out to look forward to.

Let the fun begin!

Note – NBA.com has written a short series on LeBron’s six possible destinations. Even though Cleveland is the likely winner, still interesting to read. Here they are in the “Tour de LeBron” series (with the odds in the article in brackets):

Darren spent many years playing basketball in Pretoria, searching out every possible way to gain extra inches on his vertical in order to disprove the theory that white men can't jump. After being distracted by the corporate world for several years, Darren returned to the game he loves to contribute in some way to its' future. Darren firmly believes we will see basketball in its rightful place as one of the top sports in South Africa, and that one of the keys to doing so is seeing information about the game made easily accessible to everyone. This is why he is now part of the MyBasketball team.
