Playground Legends 3-on-3 (Meadowlands)
25/09/10
Fiat Sports Centre, Zone 9 Meadowlands, Soweto
The day came and went with the Playground Legends standing tall on the day. Fiat Sports Centre, Zone 9 Meadowlands, Soweto is where it all went down.
8 Teams signed up for the contest and boy did the teams bring their game, as teams from the surrounding hoods came through to pit their skills against each other. We witnessed some scintillating game-play with some teams dominating their opponents from start to finish in their match-ups, whilst other matches were hard fought with either side not allowing an inch for the opponents to gain the advantage.
As the contest goes someone had to win and someone had to loose. In the final match-up Jordan, Musa and Given (Red team) faced Mike, Mandla and Siphiwe (Burgundy team). Stage was set for an exciting encounter between the two teams since the Red team came into the finals as the favourites and the Burgundy team the underdogs.
