District Associations are advised to use the coming weekend for the training of their teams. Players selected will represent KwaZulu Natal in the BSA National Senior Championships to be held here in Durban (KwaZulu Natal).

US Basketball Coaches begin their clinics in SA
Former President Nelson Mandela said it best, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world” and for the last five years, Engen, through the annual hosting of the Basketball Coaching Seminar, has provided amateur basketball coaches in South Africa the opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge of the fundamentals of basketball coaching.
This year, Durban has been selected as the host city for the Engen US Coaches Tour Basketball Coaching Seminar, in association with the Kwazulu Natal Basketball Association, to be held at the University of Kwazulu Natal from 27 – 30 September 2009. Continue reading »

Saturday saw the opening encounters of the 2009/2010 school basketball season. The Kearsney basketball teams travelled to sleepy hollow for the encounter in their first tester as a team, since the matic’s from the first term would not be playing. It is always difficult to play at St Charles but for once the hostile crowd did not materialise which made things easier but did not lessen the nerves of the two young teams. Continue reading »
