CPUT gets one back over the Montana Vikings…

With the WCBA Playoffs a week away, CPUT finally got their act together to beat their much fancied and possible final opponents at the last round of the group stages held at UCT. Montana Vikings had played the day before and maybe fatigue managed to creep in but it was a lackluster performance, frustrating at times.

WCBA League: Montana Vikings beat spirited CPUT Cats

In a game that is almost a preview of the end of the season final, Montana Vikings played against their perennial advisories CPUT Cats at a packed UCT indoor arena.

WCBA league: Vikings trash UWC by a ton

If you had the opportunity to watch UWC play over the last few years they would have given you hope that they were making progress in the right direction.  But this year, their team doesn’t look like they have the energy, passion or commitment to compete with the likes of Montana Vikings, who showed that they are in a class of their own.

In a game that was marred by countless mistakes from both teams, the team with the better quality and sound game plan came out on top. Vikings were never in danger of losing this contest.
