View SA basketball courts in a larger map

You can find courts near you on the map above (courts represented by the balloon markers).

If you can’t see courts you know of on here, please read below to see how to add them.

How to use the map:

• Drag the map area around to the location you’re looking for or click on the arrow buttons to move around.
• You can also use the + and – buttons to zoom in and out.
• Click on the balloon marker for more details about the courts.

For easier navigation, click on “View SA Basketball Courts in a Larger Map” just below the map to go to the large version.

Please keep in mind that this map is a work in progress. We’d like this to eventually be a reference point for anyone to find a basketball court anywhere in SA, so it’s a community project that everyone can be a part of. If there are courts you know of that aren’t on here, please add them

Want to add your courts?

Here’s how (you’ll need a Google account to do so):

• Go to the Google map by clicking on the link underneath the map.
• Log in to Google using your existing details, or create an account if you don’t have one.
• You should see the full map now. Move around and zoom in until you can see the spot where your courts are.
• Click on the “Edit” button on the left hand side (please don’t change the map name or any settings!)
• Now you’ll see a little balloon button on the top left side of the map. Click on this and then place the “X” on the map where your courts are.
• A little box will open asking for some details – type in the court name and any other relevant information.
• Once you’ve added all the courts you want to, click on the “Done” button on the left-hand side, and you’re done!
