In a letter to provinces sent on the 17th May 2010 by Mr Tsepo Nyewe, BSA said:

The Gauteng Basketball Association (GBA) is hosting trials for U16 girls and boys for Team GBA 2010. Team GBA is the Elite Basketball Programme for the Gauteng Province (GP). Almost 3 months has past and despite the best efforts to get some feedback from the chairman of the interim committee of Basketball South Africa, we still don’t know what progress has been made since the meeting with The South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC).
