Limpopo Basketball Association Chairperson Joe Machaba said “The Basketball Association of Limpopo would like to take this opportunity to welcome all participants, coaches, managers, officials, spectators and most importantly players to this historic event.

It is historic because Limpopo is hosting a full national championship for the first time.

We hope this event will leave both remarkable and memorable memories in the minds of the people of Limpopo and all visitors. We would like to thank Basketball SA for affording us this opportunity to host, because we believe this event will help in popularizing the sport of Basketball and also assist in the stimulation of the local economy

In conclusion, let us wish all teams well in their endeavor to become the champions, but also plead for fair-play.”
