Pretoria league boys section 2008

By on April 26, 2008 in High School

In the boys open, St Albans are fresh from their victory at the DHS tournament so they have to be favourites to take the crown this year. Pretoria Boys High School will be looking to gain some pride back after losing to their neighbours twice already this year. So look out for these 2 teams making the semis and from there it’s anyone’s title to win considering that Bees club won it last year defeating St Albans. St Albans begin the season with a game against Hillview while their rival play Prestige.

In the under 16 Boys section, Pretoria Boys High School are the defending champions and after defeating St Albans in their preseason game by a basket this year, the title is going to go down to the wire. Watch out for the dark horses in the two groups, Clapham, The Glen and Willowridge who won their under14 section last year…

At this under14 Boys section, the teams that have started their basketball early will be the favorites to win this division. Pretoria Boys High School, St Albans and the defending champions Willowridge will be up there in the end but expect a few surprises in this group as well.

    D. Senyard, i’ve seen that name on the Honours Board! G uys Willows is blazing in all sections this year, the mediocrity is over and the proffesionalism is inexplicable!

  3. Quincy says:

well, i beg to differ……the only reason why willow ridge is blooming is because of the fact that they got players from Mamelodi Bees from last year…..Beware Willow Ridge, we wont let you come and take the title that easily…You have to work for it…its gonna be a tough Season!!!
