PHSG vs. DSG on Friday 6 June at 15h00 at DSG

With the league winding down, PHSG had players injured or absent (Lara, Deidre, Jamela, Alexia) that would be the envy of other 1st teams… But with a final against their old foes on their mind, they did well to focus on the job at hand and win this game handsomely. But DSG put up an all mighty fight and their performances have steadily improved all year. They played a man on man game against PHSG and they must be commanded for their attitude throughout the game.

Rosina vs. The Glen High School on Friday 6 June at 16h00 at DSG
If you are looking for an upset then this is it. Rosina outhustled their opponents and they played their hearts out to defeat the defending champions. Maybe The Glen High School players underestimated their opponents and were looking towards a final against PHSG but it wasn’t to be. The Glen coach almost blew a fuse and the players didn’t know which way to turn after a lackluster performance by their star players. But in the end the score was a bit comfortable for Rosina Sedibane and they head into the final at DSG hoping that they finish their fairy tale run with a victory.

U16 Girls section
DSG vs. Willowridge
DSG are making huge waves in the Pretoria league this year and with a balanced group of girls that play as a team they overcame Willowridge. After losing to PHSG in the finals last year, they have been preparing for this end of the season run-in by putting in the hard work and refining their game. Willowridge must be commanded for making the semis but this was as far as they would go.

PHSG vs. The Glen High School
Despite not having their best game as a team, PHSG won the game against a Glen High School team that wasn’t up for it on the day. But with the finals looming PHSG must be mindful of the fact that Basketball is a team game and that if they don’t pull together in the same direction then they will have a difficult afternoon on Saturday.

U14 Girls section
PHSG vs Willowridge
Willowridge won, but it was close all the way.

DSG vs The Glen High School
After losing to The Glen during the pool games, DSG made easy work of their opponents this time around and they won the game comfortably. They have a 6 ft 3 player in their team so go figure when they say that there is no talent in Msanzi.
